6. paz lenchantin - ZWAN - bass, vocals, A PERFECT CIRCLE bass, vocals, violin
not many people got this one. actually, only one person. i first noticed her on a performance on conan, when she was playing the violin for "3 libras". anyways, i havent seen her enough to judge her musical talent, but she seems serviceable. i read that she can play a lot of other instruments, which is cool. right now she's playing bass with zwan, as well as a perfect circle. what's with billy corgan and chick bassists? anyways, she gets on the list for being kinda hot (might have the "rawk chick" point bias though), and being in 2 good bands.
5. chili - TLC vocals
ah, chili. actually, i think she was the reason why i started liking TLC. i first saw her in the "no scrubs" video. i was like "who's that?". and then it started the usual obsession routine with me...look up everything online about chili and TLC, get into their other music, and drop the interest level to normal levels. anyways, she gets on the list mainly because of her hotness and the fact that she got me into TLC. her voice isn't bad either. oh yeah, shes kinda funny in interviews.
4. d'arcy - SMASHING PUMPKINS - bass, vocals
oh, d'arcy. could've been #2 or #3 if you hadn't become a crackhead, collogen-in lips having, bad movie actress wannabe. but i still love her. hahahaa. anyways, basically here because she was in pumpkins. she's wasnt that bad looking either. she was not that good on bass, but she was serviceable. her voice is not that great either, unless you use studio magic. this doesn't seem like a ringing endorsement of her, does it? hahahaha. but she was on pumpkins, and every member had their role in greatness.
3. gwen stefani - NO DOUBT - vocals, lyrics
recently cracked this top list. a recent slew of good songs pushed her up. i also liked some of no doubt's tragic kingdom stuff. first saw her on letterman singing "just a girl". i used to think that song was annoying till i saw her singing it. also, probably has near the best voice on this list. i like her singing. so she makes the list because of her voice, her hotness, and being in a decent band. she seems like a nice girl too. chico said something very true. only she can wear all that crazy stuff and make it work. hahahahaha.
2. shirley manson - GARBAGE - vocals, lyrics, guitar
if gwen stefani doesnt have the best voice on this list, shirley manson does. the way she sings their songs are awesome. she's also kinda hot. garbage is just so damn good, too. shirley manson is just all around a solid performer.
1. melissa auf der maur - HOLE - bass, vocals, lyrics, SMASHING PUMPKINS - bass
was their any doubt? no, there wasn't. the hottest girl in the world, let alone this list. she made me get into pumpkins, as you all know. she was a big part of hole, where she was also awesome. her voice is pretty good, too. how many people can harmonize with courtney love and make it sound good? not many. i think her bass skills are pretty good, from seeing her in hole. of course it was not used much in pumpkins, a byproduct of having d'arcy as your bassist. also, she's funny and cool, from seeing interviews. but she is sooooo hot. "baby, you are so money."
a lot of people mentioned courtney love. yeah, she's the lead girl for hole, one of my favorite bands. but shes not listworthy. still, i think i like her more than most people do. ok, time to give out my props. props to chras for even considering nina gordon. she was one to think about. her and louise post. i like veruca salt. also, he put left eye, who i also like. major props to chico for adding hilarious comments on every chick in his list. although putting j-lo on the list is inexcusable. yah, shes hot, but i dont like her singing or songs. she should just be a pants model. big props to dudo for being the only one to put paz lenchantin on his list. no props to him for not putting shirley manson on it. props to stork for trying. hahahaha. putting all three TLC chicks on the list is not trying hard enough, stork. but at least he got 4.
ok, the winner is...a tie. i decided to give it to both chico and dudo. chico nailed my top 4, with correct rankings, which i thought was impressive, even if he did put j-lo on the list. dudo got all of them, except for #2 shirley manson. that was a huge mistake. also, his rankings were a little messed up, but he had a good list. everyone that entered ( 4 people) got at least 4 right. anyways, that it. hope you like the pictures. you know what, since only 4 people did the contest, i'll just buy everyone that entered a drink. ok, happy new years.
