ellloooo.

went to see the white stripes with dudo yesterday. it was pretty damn good. they are intense live. it was also pretty raw sounding, which is cool. jack white is a good showman. one thing to note was the crowd. the crowd was pretty good. basically no shoving, no crowdsurfing, no moshing, no people making their way in front of you after youve been standing there for hours, and they were all loud and into it. the crowd was very different from the last show i went to in milwaukee to see zwan. all of this occurred at the last concert i saw, which pissed me off. also, you'd think a white stripes crowd would be tamer than a zwan crowd. plus, the white stripes crowd was a lot younger, so you'd think they would be more immature. nope. so what does this mean? yes, people from milwaukee are morons. or maybe people from chicago are cool.

so all the cubs have to do to win games is to give up no runs and hope for random homeruns. and hope alfonseca doesn't get in the game.

the recent sox moves have gotten me excited about their chances. i don't remember the last time both the cubs and sox both had a chance to get into the playoffs this late in the season. maybe it's because i have a bad memory. anyways, every year at the beginning of the season i hope they both get in the series, only to have both teams fall laughably short. this is the year. oh yes.

hello. ah, my first post on this new blogger interface. i bet all you xangans are wondering what all the fuss is about. trust me, this interface is so awesome, it defies description. oh man, is this sweet. all you xangans are chumps because you don't get to use this sweet new blogger editor... seriously.


working shift mornings suck.


ok, so paradorn vs. roddick are playing this morning. so i stay away from going to espn.com at work and don't listen to sportstalk going home, which was kinda brutal, because i had to listen to fm radio. also, it took all my willpower not to do the live wimbledon scoreboard (which is pretty cool). then i go home and watch the wimbledon replay at 6pm on espn2. oh, theyre showing agassi-philippoussis(sp). ok, i'll wait. so i flip between the match and watch the cubs choke away another game, waiting for srichaphan/roddick. hmmm, this match is going pretty long. dammit. plus it looks like agassi is gonna lose, which sucks because then no americans are gonna be able to watch the potential wimbledon final of srichaphan vs. agassi. anyways, then its finally over. sweet. now suzy kolber comes on and announces baseball tonight at the top of the hour. SWEEEET. so i settle for watching highlights of the match and find out paradorn lost. nice. at least he was the first guy to take a set off of roddick so far, roddick is rolling right now. and there was the nice hug between them at the end of the match...awwww. anyways, thai dominance in tennis will have to wait for now.


studs of the past few days:

paradorn srichaphan: for being the first asian to reach the round of 16.

kerry wood: a huge game to stop the cubs bleeding, shutting down the juggernaut white sox while not having good control and being injured the last inning plus.
