bad day blog

hello.

yesterday was one of the worst days i've had in a while.

so i drove to la crosse and stayed in a hotel just to go to a 3 hour meeting. i felt so unsyateefyied.

then 10 minutes into my trip home, i got a speeding ticket goin 81 in a 65 zone. it was $260. i was pissed enough about getting pulled over for a weak offense. i was even following another car goin the same speed. (too bad it was from wisconsin) but $260 bucks just put me into a high tier of my "rage zone". to top it off, the cop said he would've let me go if i was a wisconsin resident, but the judge wants all the money they can get for out of staters. thanks buddy, i feel a lot better. ::facing north and shaking my fist:: i think in illinois, its under a 100 bucks if you don't go over 20.

hours later, i run into a big traffic jam at northwest tollway, since it was shut down both ways because of a huge accident. so basically i just sat in my car for a long time, even after i got diverted to rt. 20. chras tried to warn me, but my phone was accidentally left off from when i was in the meeting.

while sitting in my car i feel a little better with the cubs scoring a couple runs in the first and getting the bases loaded with no out. then karros, martinez, and miller strike out, scoring no more runs. i had to put the car in park so i didn't accidentally run into the guy in front of me while going into convulsions and hitting the steering wheel. probably the highest point of my rage.

later, when i finally get home, watch cubs lose.

oh well. to put it into perspective though, i had a lot better day than the people that were in that bus that got rearended on northwest tollway. that really sucks.

it's really amazing how much sports can mean to you. i was feeling really shitty when i first got to lacrosse on tuesday night, because of the whole situation i was in. then i watched the cubs game, and it was a great game, and my favorite player grabbed the national spotlight...not to mention the cubs winning. and if the cubs won yesterday, i would've really considered it a decent day.

finally, i think i'm goin to see a band called the mars volta on oct. 14th at the riviera. if anyone wants to go, tell me. tickets are 15 bucks. they're made up of half of the band "at the drive in" (the 2 puerto ricans with afros). theyre good. supposedly they are intense live.

hello.

time for a proper blog.

just finished up my set of nights for my "work week". too bad my days off will be completely shot by work anyways:

day off #1 (tuesday): drive to la crosse for a meeting on wednesday. wake up at 1 pm, leave at 2pm so i can make it to la crosse by 7pm to watch the cubs game alone in my hotel room ::tear::

day off #2 (wednesday): meeting from 10am - 2pm, arrive home by about 7pm (missing first hour of cubs game). sleep early to wake up at 730am thursday.

day off #3 (thursday): wake up at 730amish to go to work for another meeting. sleep early to wake up at 4am on friday.

friday: back to work.

watching sportscenter right now. sean salisbury's breakdown of the bears was hilarious. i guess the bears are really that bad. also, jeff garcia is really flaming.

went out on friday to jack up chras for getting a job. it was good times. i can't believe the negro bathroom attendant pointed him out for puking on the bathroom floor. I TIPPED THAT GUY 2 BUCKS.

finally, congrats to dudo on winning the dudo league championship, the first time the league's namesake has won it......bitch. nonetheless, the whiteys were still in a jubliant mood after finishing in 2nd place, their highest dudo league finish ever. here are kansas whiteys moises alou and kerry wood celebrating:
