hello.
reading the first part of dudo's blog about hitchhikers made me think of a childhood memory. i was gonna put this in dudo's comments, but it wouldn't work. plus, it helps fill up my blog. some of you probably know this anecdote already. anyways, this was probably when i was about 8 or 9 years old, and b was like 5 or 6. my dad was driving, and my mom was in the front seat. me and b were sitting in the back. then they go and pick up some hitchhiker. it's kinda hazy, but i think he was like a 30-yr old guy, looked like he didn't shave in a couple days, pretty scummy looking overall. also, his breath smelled like alcohol. i didn't know what alcohol smelled like back then, so i just thought he smelled weird. so anyways, it's me, b, and this drunk hitchhiker cruising in the backseat around cicero. i don't think there was much conversation. we just dropped him off where he wanted to go (i think sportsman's park). good thing he wasn't a psycho, and just a common drunk. by the way, it was like 2 o'clock in the afternoon. after we dropped him off, my mom and dad were like "i think he was drunk". thanks guys.
illini lost today, in their first true test. booo. i might have said this before, but watching illini basketball gives me the most intense emotions when watching sports. extreme happiness or extreme frustration/anger. more often than not (like today), it's extreme frustration. anyways, deron and powell are studs. and maybe nick smith's asthmatic ass shouldn't play more than 5 minutes in a row if he's too tired to jump for rebounds or to alter/block shots.
laters.
