hello.
this weekend made me feel old. the sunday bbq reminded me of all the old school thai family parties we used to have with all us thai kids hanging out since we were babies. all those new years parties, going to santa's village, those great america hospital picnics, playing with our big white buffalo, piling everyone in gulaya's hammock, me, chico, sometimes jimmy, bobby, mink, and george playing nintendo for hours as little kids while the girls did girly stuff, probably 100's of bbqs, etc. after all of us started going to college and getting jobs, it's pretty rare to have everyone in that group gather like we used to. this sunday wasn't really the same, but it was still fun. can't expect things to stay the same forever. at least i still (semi) regularly hang out with some of the family in thai mafia. guess i'm kinda also thinking about the potential of me moving and having some relationships that i have now change. we'll see what happens.
hey oiy, i'm gonna steal your picture of the old school thai family kids, circa 2004. thanks. there's a few kids missing, but i don't know if we'll ever get all of us in a picture again.
