hi everybody.

pretty good weekend.

thanks to everyone that came to barleycorn friday night. it was good to hang out with everyone. i think i made it out with only one stupid drunken exchange. so that's pretty successful. also props to brad from "the real world" for coming out and hanging with us.

saturday was also a good day. one might even venture saying it was a "great" day. 3 hours of softball were played, and now im sore. even though i suck, it was fun. there was a lot of scoring with the 16 inch, but once we started using the 12 inch, some innings got pretty ridiculous. if you were to look up an inning on sportsline or espn game log, here's how it would look:

-Sorcic popped out to shortstop.
-P_ongb_nkor grounded out to third.
-Patera singled to left.
-Yoon homered to deep center, Patera scored.
-O'Kelly doubled to left.
-Yoon relieved Moy (we're pitching to ourselves)
-Moy singled to left, O'Kelly to third.
-UCLA safe at first, advanced to second on throwing error by 3B Chen, O'Kelly scored, Moy to third.
-Sorcic singled to left, Moy, UCLA scored.
-P_ongb_nkor singled to left, Sorcic to second.
-Patera homered to deep left, Sorcic, P_ongb_nkor scored.
-Moy relieved Yoon.
-Yoon safe at first on fielding error by LF Ciszek.
-O'Kelly safe at first on fielding error by RF Cubs Visor, Yoon to second.
-Sorcic relieved Moy.-Moy singled to shallow center, Yoon scored, O'Kelly to second.
-UCLA safe at first, advanced to second on throwing error by SS Wu, O'Kelly scored, Moy to third.
-Yoon relieved Sorcic
-Sorcic doubled to left, Moy, UCLA scored.
-P_ongb_nkor homered to deep left, Sorcic scored.
-Patera safe at first on fielding error by RCF Menace.
-Moy relieved Yoon.
-Yoon safe at first on fielding error by CF Desai, Patera to third.
-O'Kelly flied out to center.
(End of inning, 13 runs, 10 hits, 6 errors)

yeah, i had to give myself a homer.

also, the bbq at anuj's house was good. thanks for the use of house, gak. making a tournament for beanbags was an good (one might say great) idea, although it probably started too late. i'm in favor of tournaments in general. there should be more of them. some of the best ones (excluding pro sports, since those go without saying):

- hold'em tourneys (because it involves hold'em)

- march madness (the best sporting event ever created)

- mario kart 64 tourney on dudo's bday (the most intense competition ever seen, highlighted by dudo's miraculous performance under the influence of alcohol)

- nichel '98('97?) tourneys senior year - ok, actually this was probaby the most intense competition ever seen. actually, this involved dividing all the players into divisions, then round robin play with goal differential tiebreakers, which lead to seeding, then playoff format with best of 3 series, (the second time we did it) . i can't believe we haven't done this type of thing again with another game, especially during college. the highlight of one of the tourneys was my clutch OT goal with like 2 seconds left off the faceoff against rod in the semis. the second highlight involved dudo battling with alan bailey for the cellar spot, neither team scoring for like 9 periods.)

someone tell me when theres a tourney bein made.

laters.
