hello.

yay, the weekend is here.

well, not much has happened lately. when you write a lot of blogs, you kindof get on a roll each day, and you keep wanting to write one the next day. but if you haven't in a while, you don't feel like writing one.

so i guess zwan is going to debut at #3. thats better than i thought. although the new albums out are pretty weak. they are getting beat by the dixie chicks and norah jones. i dont have a problem with norah jones, but you know how the dixie chicks' single is a cover of "landslide" from fleetwood mac? they said that they wanted to cover this song because the last cover of landslide by the pumpkins is "terrible". that is one of the most apalling things i've every heard. pumpkins' landslide is awesome.

bill self was doing some bball analysis today on espn. it was pretty good. bill self is awesome.

ok, im tired. laters.

hi.

there are a few things to talk about, i guess. haven't written in a while (relatively speaking).

oh, so that nerc audit was friday. it went about 20 times better than i thought it would. a lot of it was due to my co-worker showing up on his vacation. he's the cool one that made the "if i was a girl, i'd wanna be a slut," comment i mentioned before in my blog. anyways, the best part was that one of the auditors mentioned to my boss and the head of the company that they were impressed with how i seem to know what i was doing more than people who have been on the job for years. hahah. that was kinda embarrassing when he told me that. makes me wonder what kind of chumps we have performing reliability functions for the electric interconnection. anyways, i think its cool when you are thought of as being good at your job.

friday and saturday, i just sat around. oh, i played craft for the first time in a year. i suck.

sunday, i went to see this band verbena at the empty bottle. it was awesome. although, i was disappointed that the chick bassist and backup vocalist is not part of the band anymore. as you know from my blog, female backing vocals are quality. anyways, there were probably less than a hundred people there, and verbena still rawked. the acoustics are awesome in a small venue like that.

ok, so before verbena came on, me and chico were standing by the wall, waiting for them. i saw this guy at the bar, and went to chico "man, that guy looks a lot like scott lucas (singer/guitar from my #2 band, local h, check my oct. 31st blog for proof)." but i didnt think he was that short, so i thought it probably wasn't him, but damn, he looks a lot like him. then during one of the songs, he went up to the stage and sang some backing vocals on one of the songs. then, we knew it was him. i was pretty excited about that. there were like only 60-70 people watching this band, and scott lucas is one of them. anyways, after the show, i told chico i had to say hi to him. so i saw him about to walk backstage, and tapped him on the shoulder. hahaha. basically, i just told him we though local h was awesome, and we've been to a lot of local h shows and stuff. he was pretty cool, and was appreciative of the complements. i didnt want to keep him long, so i let him go, haha. he thanked me and gave me one of those "leaving shoulder punches" as we left, which i thought was cool. so thats my story. who else has met the lead singer/guitarist for their top 2 favorite bands? i don't think many. hmmm, i don't think i can meet the lead singer/guitarist for my #3 band, though, since kurt cobain is dead. oh well.

ok laters.
