ah, just got back from work.
here's my routine when i work nights that i have settled into:
12:55 pm - wake up
1pm - watch 2 episodes of fresh prince
2 pm -4 pm- watch random tv / play games / pay bills (basically do anything except go online, because i save that for work)
4 pm - get ready for work
4:15 pm - leave for work
5 pm - 5 am - work
5:30 am - shower, brush teef
5:50 am - 6:30 am- watch war/sportscenter
6:30 am - 12:55 pm - sleep
lather, rinse, repeat
at work, i have a set of websites i go to: espn.com, drudgereport.com, cnn.com, zwan.com, google.com (which leads to other things), gamefaqs.com
also at work, i've been reading this book by douglas adams called "the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy". its pretty good. its also hilarious. there's a lot of flamish humor in there that cracks me up. so if you want a good book, read that (and it's sequels).

these sites give a vastly different point of view of the war from cnn.com, foxnews.com, etc. its pretty interesting. all media will have bias one way or the other (some more than others), but i think its good to look at both sides and form your own view of how the war is going.

hello.
sorry i haven't written in a while.
well, the illini lost to nd. it was depressing, but i guess im over it now. it takes a lot of fun out of the rest of the tourney now, too. ohh well. ill miss watching cook and especially seany play. it was a good 4 years.
favorite seany moment:
i think it was the maui invitational our sophomore year. illini were playing arizona and were down like 10+ points with about a minute to go. we pretty much thought the game was over, but seany mustve hit 2 or 3 clutch 3s in the last minute to give illini hope (frankie was also clutch). the illini lost anyways, but that game confirmed for me that seany is awesome, hahaa.
anyways, although im disappointed about the illini, you have to say they had a good season. they were projected to finish middle of the pack in big ten and possibly win a game in the tourney before the season started, and they exceeded those expectations. my expectations were higher, but im a huge sports optimist anyways (cubs - sox world series this year).
oh yeah, hanging out with tm was cool. it helped me get over the illini losing, haha. anyways, pretty much standard comedy whenever hanging out with them. the worst part was when we got dairy queen, and my misty float didn't have enough cherry syrup.
i went to see zwan in milwaukee with b on friday. it was a pretty big difference from when i saw them at metro. the venue was in the ghetto. i think jefferey dahmer's house was like a block away. parking was 17 bucks, which sucked. when you first park, you are excited to see zwan, so you don't really care that its 17 bucks. but when you drive home, you realize you paid 17 bucks for parking and you get pissed. the acoustics aren't as good as the metro. the crowd sucked. i liked that they were into it, but there was a lot of pushing, and you couldn't move your arms or legs basically because everyone shoved towards the stage. also, i've never had the urge to smack so many people before. i hate it when people shove their way up front from the back, not giving a shit about people who have been standing there for hours before them. i don't know if all people in milwaukee are morons, or just the milwaukee zwan fans. while im complaining about milwaukee, let me say that it basically seems like a bigger version of naperville. not that theres anything wrong with naperville, but if you are as big of a city as milwaukee, you should have stuff to do there. basically, milwaukee is chicago's bitch, just like canada is america's bitch.
and despite all my bitching about milwaukee, i'd probably do it again if i had the chance, because zwan was awesome. they played as well as i've seen them play. i was surprised billy didn't give his opinion about the war. im glad he realized people came to hear zwan play, not hear about someone's view on war, whatever it is. from interviews and stuff, im pretty sure he's antiwar. anyways, he thanked us for taking a break from watching the interesting war coverage and seeing them play.
so, about this war thingy. i haven't written my points about it yet, maybe i will sometime. im too lazy now. i read a lot of stuff at work concerning both sides of the argument. there are a lot of issues to consider, just like with anything else, but i think it's important to get rid of saddam. anyways, from watching the coverage today, it seems like it will be tougher going than a lot of people thought, but it doesn't change my view on it. the first time i saw footage of bombs and missiles raining on baghdad, i got that punched in the stomach feeling, though. even though the targets were non-civilian, it must suck to see buildings in your city getting jacked.
that micheal moore acceptance speech was interesting. not what he said, because that was expected, but the reaction. there as much, if not more booing than clapping, which i didnt expect. it was funny to see the camera pan across the celebrities, a lot of them were not amused. i guess the pro-war celebrities are not as vocal.
