i had a huge failure earlier this evening. with a walkoff hr by jason kendall, i finally succumbed to dudo in world series baseball 2k3. this ended weeks of reveling. maybe the next step for him is to beat me when i don't handicap my own batting cursor. one step at a time though....

also, matt anderson sucks.

forgot to mention in my last blog that i saw x2. it was pretty good. i had no expectations going into the movie. i didn't see the first one, but i used to watch the cartoons on saturday morning, and it was pretty cool to see how it got translated as a movie. anyways, famke janssen (aka jean grey, aka xenia, aka chick from rounders) has skyrocketed into my top tier of chicks. also, anna paquin moved up in the rankings after plummeting from her showing in 25th hour. and hopefully in x3, rogue has her flying, super strength, and invincibility powers so she can kick some ass.

3's company: the movie is gonna be shown on monday. i gotta tape that, even though it looks like it will be horrible. anything that has 3's company (3rd greatest tv series of all time) as its subject material can't be that bad.

ok laters.

hi.

ah, back from atlantic city. it was ok. the seminar was decent. the best part is they have good lunches and refreshments for the people going to the meeting. when i saw they put some yogurt raisins in the back for us after lunch, i was like: damn, i'm really in the big leagues now. yogurt raisins are quality. but my illusions of grandeur came crashing down when i came back to my yogurt raisin-less house. oh well. anyways, it was cool feeling all businessman-like for a few days. nothing makes you feel more professional than reading a usa today in a cincinnatti airport. also, there is a certain charm in looking up box scores in the newspaper the next day for your fantasy team. reminds me of a few years ago when i was at home for the summer and didn't have internet. i think it would get pretty lonely if you had to travel a lot for your job, which would suck. but i guess all the traveling businessmen know where to get hooked up with some whores at all the major cities.

oh yeah, you're probably wondering how atlantic city was. well, it's pretty ghetto. construction and trailer parks everywhere. once you get a few blocks from boardwalk and all of the casinos, its major ghettoness. even on boardwalk, there are these "taxis" that people can ride, which are actually carts with a roof on them that homeless people push up and down boardwalk. i saw a family of 3 squeezed into one of those, and i got a funny feeling. something like pity, disgust, and amusement all rolled into one, but not quite. one of the cool parts was walking around and seeing the streets that are in monopoly. although baltic avenue isn't really that ghetto, and park place is not that great.

oh yeah, the chicago curse continues. went to the cubs game saturday with smythe, and they lost.

and good god, i'm gone for a few days and there are 4 new dudo blogs. what a workhorse.
