hello.
yay, i get a weekend off.
heres a funny anecdote involving xbox live.
(p.s. xbox live is awesome. i hardly played my xbox before i got it, now it's basically all i've been playing.)
so me and chras were playing doubles tennis against random people online. you can talk to people with this headset thingy you plug in, and hear what they say on the tv. b was also watching. so we start playing against these two guys (chras has the microphone). some of this might not be right, but it basically captures the essence:
chras: what's up dog.
guy: whats up.
chras: where are you guys from?
guy: michigan.
chras: where in michigan?
guy: grand rapids.
chras: ah, thats cool. do you go to college?
guy: yeah.
chras: where?
guy: grand rapids community college.
chras: (barely stifled laughter) ah, thats cool, thats cool. (me and b also are laughing in the background)
guy: whats so funny?
then we kicked their ass. it was fun.
oh yeah, i haven't had time to write the choose your own adventure because work has been busy. but hopefully i'll get to it sometime. also i don't know if i'll be able to write it anyways, since not that many people are signed up. we will see.
lates.

hello operator...
can you give me number 9.
happy new year to everyone.
just wanted to say that last week was nuts. what with my cousin visiting and poker madness and going out, i didn't have a routine day at all. i even went out and hung out after days that i worked. it was very disconcerting. but it was mostly good times.
i had this book overdue at the library, which i thought i renewed earlier. i guess what happened was that there was a hold on the book, and they failed to tell me this when i told them to renew all the books i had out a few weeks ago (for all you illiterates: a book with a hold on it can't be renewed). anyways, when i returned my books, the hardass librarian lady told me that i was gonna be charged $1.10 for this book. i explained the situation to her, and she just looked at me for a few seconds. then she offered me a deal: 50 cents to take care of the fine. i really didn't want to do it because it was their fault, not mine. but the librarian lady didn't look like she was gonna budge. so i gaver her two quarters. it was the most unsatisfying deal i've made since i split a pot with ryan for hold'em. booo.
at work, i've been on shift every time the boss lets everyone go home early (christmas eve, new years eve, day after new years). and everyone was commenting how it was funny how i happened to work all those days and have to stay till 5, while everyone else leaves. i was laughing on the outside, but crying on the inside. funny guys, my coworkers.
