happy birthday rets.
i guess now i get to cash in on one of the good parts of my job, which is getting 8 days off using only 28 hrs of vacation time. and i need all the vacation time i can save, because i'll get paid for it when my job is done (in a couple months). basically i reserved this weekend for vacation so i can watch tourney games. seems like that will be an annual tradition (assuming i have a job to take vacation from).
i saw behind the music "tlc" on vh1 a couple days ago. it was pretty sad, with that whole lefteye death being described. it also made me nostalgic. i almost forgot about how much i like tlc, who were the first non-white group that made me buy an album. the songs from fanmail like "no scrubs" and "silly ho" remind me a lot of freshman year.
also, i filled out my brackets. incredibly, i picked the illini to win the championship again. the other teams rounding out my final four are wisconsin, michigan st., and uconn. maybe i should make a non-biased bracket. i do remember that my big-ten/local bias helped me win money in the 2000 tourney (i think it was 1999), where i got the final four right in one of my brackets picking osu and msu.
