i just read that shawn estes has been pegged to be the opening day starter for the rockies. UNbelievable. to top it off, jeff fassero is in serious contention for their 5th starter spot. sucks to be them.
recap of events on the weekly gambling night at dave's (sunday night). (times are approximate, because i have a bad memory):
730 PM - start playing hold 'em.
900 PM - lose at hold em.
905 PM- start playing loser's table hold 'em.
930 PM - lose at loser's table hold 'em. think to myself "i'll probably leave at 11ish".
931 PM - wait for dudo to lose so we can play mvp baseball.
945 PM - start to play mvp baseball with dudo.
1100 PM - stop playing mvp baseball, thinking about leaving.
1110 PM - start playing loser's loser's table hold 'em.
midnite - dave goes upstairs to sleep.
1215 AM- lose at loser's loser's table hold 'em. think to myself "i'll wait till dan and rich finish the other hold 'em round, and i'll leave."
1230 AM - dave comes back downstairs. dan and rich split.
1231 AM - start to play roll 'em. dan, dave, rich, and i agree to just play a couple.
130 AM - finish playing 6-7 rounds of roll 'em. rich smartly decides to leave. i'm about to leave, but dan and dave suggests a quick game of neighbor. i agree, thinking i'll leave if i lose.
225 AM - finish playing 12 rounds of neighbor with dan and dave (basically stayed because i was having unbelievable luck).
230 AM - leave.
