hello.

watching the last couple of cub games (on wgn and gamecast) have been unbelievably frustrating. goksj a;l it's that spasm-inducing frustration, too, which is the highest form. the best part about yesterday's game is that afterwards, prior (9 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 16K) takes the blame for the loss, saying he shouldn't have let them score. well, i think all the LOBs helped also. and if they don't make it in this year (likely), it feels a lot worse than last year, because this year, it's just been a long, painful, drawn out process with me getting frustrated and pissed every day, instead of just a crushing blow to the gut last year. plus, this year's expectations were high from the start, they had a lead just a few days agoa;lskf;l.

staying with the sad theme, i bought "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" a couple days ago. it's the saddest movie i've ever seen, even topping "snoopy come home". but i like it a lot. i've always wanted to see it, since michel gondry is the director, and he's done some of my favorite music videos, (white stripes: hardest button to button, dead leaves & the dirty ground, fell in love with a girl, and kylie minogue - come into my world). he does pretty well in the movie.

also, i bought an air purifier. i think the smell is getting better finally. yay.

laters.

hello.

first of all, in my last blog i talked about what i should/would do with the bears victory over the packers. yeah, i probably won't be saying anything anymore when the bears win. seems like they don't have much of a sense of humor when the packers lose.

speaking of the packers, thanks to javon walker for being a stud. too bad he probably used up half his fantasy points this season, but oh well. it's always a good feeling when you look on nfl.com and watch your guys score td's, but it's even better when you get to watch them score on live tv. after i got off work sunday, just hanging around my apartment, whenever something good happened (like if family guy came on), i pointed both my arms at the sky in a sideways manner, then cocked my torso to the side, a la javon.

speaking of fantasy, congrats to dudo for his imminent back-to-back dudo league baseball championship. it is quite an accomlishment (only done by two other people, i think?). that would be cool if there were t-shirts and caps printed up saying "DUDLINGS BACK-2-BACK" or something. it would go right next to my "CHICAGO BULLS BACK-2-BACK" shirt on my wall.

speaking of t-shirts, as i was flippin channels, i saw joss stone performing on leno. she was wearing a t-shirt that just said "NOVEMBER 2" in big block letters. i thought "that shirt is awesome", and immediately gave her an extra point. why did i think the shirt was cool?

1. it's my birthdate
2. it's a simple shirt (for a simple man)
3. i thought it was just a random thing that someone put on a t-shirt for no reason
4. it was black

i was wondering if i could get this shirt, so i googled "november 2 shirt". and i got linked to www.november2.org. turns out these shirts are made to get people to get out and vote.

oh.

now it's not nearly as cool, but still an important message i guess. even though from the message you'd think it's non-partisan, the site looks a little left to me. anyways, i guess it worked on me, it made me google it to find out how to get one, and reminded me that i still have to register to vote in this buddha-forsaken town...but i guess it worked only because it's my birthdate. anyhoo, i probably will buy one, then whip it out 20 years from now, and when someone asks me "whats on november 2?", i'll just shrug and go about my business, which is what i wanted to do in the first place.

speaking of leno, they announced that he'd leave the tonight show in 5 years and conan would take his spot. i think conan will do well, and he's my favorite late nite host right now, but i'm wondering if moving to the tonght show spot means he has to cut down on some of his immature bits. i hope not. but then again, maybe by then i'll have matured. i'll be 28 by then. in 5 years, will i still think the masturbating bear is funny?

yeah, probably.

laters.
